Ben Azamati wins Men’s 100m heats at 2022 Commonwealth Games

Ghana’s Benjamin Azamati qualified for the semi-final of the men’s 100 metres race at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games after leading heat 7.

Azamati finished first in the heats with a time of 10.19 sub-seconds to advance to the semis in the Men’s 100m dash.
The Ghanaian figured out how to take down off rivalry from Welsh competitor Jeremiah Azu and Bangladesh sprinter I. Rahman who completed second and third individually.

Azamati's season of 10.19 sub-seconds was underneath what he did at the 2022 World Athletics Championships where he completed the warms during a period of 10.189 sub-seconds yet neglected to advance to the following round.

Azamati comes up in the semi-finals on Wednesday, August third against the absolute best runners at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham from England, Canada, Jamaica, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.

In the interim, runner, Sean Safo-Antwi has progressed to the semi-finals of the men's 100m race.

Sean Safo-Antwi ended the Heats with one of the best times among the non-automatic qualifiers.

Sean Safo Antwi made a time of 10.33 in heat 10 to go through to the semifinals after finishing 4th on the log.
